STATE OF THE NATION ADDRESS
SY 2017-2018
Delivered by: ROSEMARIE N. PANUELOS Ph. D., Principal II
Ever supportive PTA officials headed by the president Mr. Randy A. Lasala, SHS Coordinator, Ma’am Helen Tangente, JHS Head teachers, Ma’am Gilda J. Villanea and Ma’am Erlinda L. Aycardo. To our goal-oriented and passionate teachers, dear parents, alumni, students, friends and guests, good morning. I am very much fortunate for a hundred percent of parents who attend today for a very special affair as I present to you the State of the School Address (SOSA) of San Isidro National High School.
To date, the school has a teaching force consisting of more than 50 regular teachers, two head teachers for Junior high school and one Senior High School coordinator and non-teaching staff: one book keeper, one disbursing officer and two guidance counselors, one for JHS and the other is for SHS. From SY 2017-2018 our enrollees have increased from 1,554 students to 1,900. Allow me also to give recognition on the passion-driven teachers who have leveled up their educational attainment as the data this school year states “most of the teachers has Master’s degree units with 16 out of 36 or 44.44 percent of the total number of teacher”. We do also give recognition of all the achievement that the school has achieved this school year by subjects and also on the non-academic contests.
Let’s give a big hand for a growing SINHS Family. On the other hand, I personally acknowledged the accomplishment stated by the PTA officials for the SY 2018-2019 and let me reiterate, PTA has accomplished eight classrooms of eight tables. They have repaired chairs and (TLS) or the Temporary Learning Shelter for 8-Google and 7-Ruby as well as the painting of classroom of Grade 8-Yahoo. With their initiative, together with the support of the parents we were able to join the Civic and Military Parade In town and in region which gave us several awards.
Now, almost all of your faces are familiar to me and we already discussed the Updates on DepEd Order No. 40 series of 2012 (Child Protection Policy). Let me reiterate that:
DepEd has adopted the policy to provide special protection to children who are gravely threatened or endangered by circumstances which affect their normal development and over which they have no control, and to assist the concerned agencies in their rehabilitation. Moreover, The DepEd shall ensure that schools are a safe place for the education of children. Along with this, we have Ma’am Babylyn T. Avancena for JHS Department and Ma’am Remilyn Cuńa who cater the issues and challenges that our students are facing in school when it comes to Discrimination, bullying and exploitation. Thus, addressing this issues are on ground of Code of Conduct and new assessment Procedures.
Next, as this school year will be passing by and new school year will come, I hope that all of us in this institution will be taking his/her part for the Brigada 2019 which will be of big help to maintain the school with safe, clean and pleasant environment for the students. On further notice and updates, it will be disseminated accordingly by the teachers. In addition, parents we will be also announcing the early registration for th School Year 2019-2020 so please always be posted.
Lastly, the Moving up ceremony for JHS is scheduled on April 3, 2019 however, the Graduation Rites for SHS is scheduled on April 5, 2019. Please be advised of the updates to be given by the respective advisers so that all of you will be informed.
Today marks another milestone of San Isidro National High School with its stakeholders. There is no greater calling than to serve you all. Thank you.
