Our Computer Laboratory:
2001- The school was a recipient of 21 units of computers from DTI. The very first computer laboratory was located at the School Canteen (former computer laboratory) managed by Mr. JESUS M. VARGAS, IT Coordinator (2001-2010). The school offered computer subjects as elective for third and fourth year for two days. The program offering was under the administration of Mrs. EMILY B. ESMABE (1993-2004), who is now the ES-Supervisor in Science, Division Office. The program was able to produce computer-literate individuals who became successful professionals today.
2008 - Another sets of computers came in 2008 under the supervision of MR. VENANCIO C. PIMENTEL, Principal II from 2004-2011. The 21 units of computers were utilized in computer-aided instructions, ICT seminars and trainings and elective subjects again under the management of MR. JESUS M. VARGAS, IT Coordinator. The iSchools- Bicol University (SUC) trained all the teaching and non-teaching staff on the Basic Computer Literacy that lasted for six (6) days. The sets of computers were very beneficial to all the graduates of the school. In lined with the school mission and vision, computer-literate individuals were developed. In 2011, the laboratory management was turned over to MRS. DOLORES F. BOGAS, as IT Coordinator. Internet connection was then installed to the school through the satellite disc being provided by iWIT, Inc. It has a speed of 56 mbps that covered up to three computer units only. The school internet connection was able to support the Learner's Information System which all students were issued a Learner's Reference Number. This year also started the implementation of computerized and online reports in the BEIS/LIS.
2013 - The school was one of the luckiest secondary schools in Camarines Sur after having been granted with 50 units of computers funded by the DepEd Computerization Program (DCP). The Secondary School Principal II, DR. EVELYN P. ANAGAO, received the units in November 2014 under the laboratory management of MRS. DOLORES F. BOGAS, IT Coordinator. The 50 units of computers were composed of one main server, 7 CPU units, and each CPU controls all the six computer monitors connected. The three IT teachers namely Mrs. Dolores F. Bogas, Mrs. Ruby Q. Manoguid and Ms. Minnie V. Gamosa were trained by the AEE Technician sponsored by the ASI Company on the use and simple troubleshooting of the units. The units of computers are intended for computer-aided instruction of the teachers, however, the school offers computer elective programs for two days to all third and fourth year. Meanwhile, the PTA supports the program by donating the computer maintenance fee which is utilized for computer maintenance program. Since the school has now plenty of computer units, the 18 units of computers (CICT) were transferred at the Library under the management of Ms. MINNIE V. GAMOSA, Laboratory Manager. The units are being used for the PC hardware classes offered for grades 8, 9 and 10. The very first computer units granted by the DTI were now classified as non-functional since they already became obsolete. However, they are being used by the PC hardware students for their laboratory practice.
